Originally from Carstairs I have a huge place in my heart for this little town and all the people in it! I genuinely care about you and your health and I want to help you achieve your health goals by being your motivator in class! I grew up playing school sports, after graduating I attended university and college level courses for Kinesiology (science of the body) and Personal Training. I am a Certified Group Fitness Instructor through the Alberta Fitness Leadership Certificate Association where I specialized in Portable Equipment, Choreography, Older Adult, Fusion and Pre/Post Natal as well as a certified PiYo Instructor, having taken my training in Nashville directly with some of the co-creators of PiYo Live. As the owner of Uptown Gym I am excited to bring you my classes as well as occasionally offer a variety of other great classes during various times throughout the day. Health and fitness is my passion and I am so grateful that I get to share that love with all of you.

GENTLE FITNESS - Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10-11am For older adult, beginners and anyone who wants to improve their strength, balance and flexibility. All classes incorporate cardio, strength, balance and core utilizing dumbbells, bands, balls and sometimes chairs! We never go to the floor, all exercises are done standing and this is a no to low impact class. Intensity can easily be modified for beginner or more advanced individuals. Great way to meet others and have some fun! Sign up any time and come to one class a week or all three!

FITNESS FUSION
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 845am-945am
This class is a strength, balance, core, flexibility class inspired by moves derived from yoga, and pilates. Expect to work on your strength with flow movements including push-ups, planks, lunges and squats, your balance, and your flexibility at the end with a stretching sequence.
Full body strength, balance and flexibility workout. You dont have to jump, grunt, strain, and punish your body to get amazing results from your workout. Fusion combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga, you can expect some pushups, planks, squats and lunges melded with warriors and sun salutations. This class delivers a true fat-burning, low-impact workout that leaves your body looking long, lean, and incredibly defined. This isn't like standard Pilates and yoga classes that make you hold long, intense poses, or lead you through dozens of repetitive, microscopic core movements. You’ll feel intensity by introducing you to dynamic, flowing sequences that can burn serious calories at the same time as they lengthen and tone your muscles and increase your flexibility. With every class you can burn excess fat and sculpt and define your whole body, as you minimize the aches and pains that can come along with high-impact workouts. Learn what each piece of equipment does, how to adjust it to your body and receive a very basic workout plan that you can do on your own in the gym. Learn and gain some confidence on the equipment!
