Originally from Carstairs I have a huge place in my heart for this little town and all the people in it! I genuinely care about you and your health and I want to help you achieve your health goals by being your motivator in class! I grew up playing school sports, after graduating I attended university and college level courses for Kinesiology (science of the body) and Personal Training. I am a Certified Group Fitness Instructor through the Alberta Fitness Leadership Certificate Association where I specialized in Portable Equipment and Choreography, as well as a certified PiYo Instructor, having taken my training in Nashville directly with some of the co-creators of PiYo Live, and most recently Senior Fitness. As the owner of Uptown Gym I am excited to bring you my classes as well as occasionally offer a variety of other great classes during various times throughout the day with other great instructors. Health and fitness is my passion and I am so grateful that I get to share that love with all of you.

Gentle Fitness - Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10-11am For seniors, beginners and anyone who wants to improve their strength, balance and flexibility. All classes incorporate cardio, strength, balance and core utilizing dumbbells, bands, balls and sometimes chairs! Great way to meet others and have some fun! Sign up any time and come to one class a week or all three!

$105 for 1 MONTH UNLIMITED (works out to about $7.50/class if you attend all three classes per week!)

YOGA-LIKE Monday & Wednesday 830am-930am and Monday evening time tbd combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga. Lengthen and tone your muscles and increase your flexibility. Dont be surprised if you find some strengthening exercising mixed in! Minimize the aches and pains that can come along with high-impact workouts. No matter your age, no matter your body type, feel good, and find incredibly beautiful results. Need some stretch and sweat in your life? Register for ‘YOGA-LIKE’ group fitness! PumpIt!- days/times tbd   Full body strength workout with dumbells and using your own body weight. Lifting in this class you’ll tone and shape your entire body, without adding bulky muscles. This full body dumbbell workout will burn calories, shape and tone your entire body, increase core strength and improve bone health. I've created this workout because I just love strength training. We will be lifting to the music to make this class energetic and FUN!
