Covid-19 Information March 17

For the safety of Uptown Gym Members and the Community, with regard to recent announcements from Alberta Government regarding Covid-19 I am on continued high alert monitoring new announcements and information being released. Uptown Gym rarely has more then 10 people inside at a time, usually about 5 or less.  This has not been set forth as of yet in Alberta, but as a precautionary measure from today forward I will be limiting the number of people inside to a maximum of 10. Please respect this. Please also clean all machines and surfaces you touch before and after use with the cleaning spray provided.  Please, please, please follow the following Prevention suggestions placed forward by our government;

Prevent the spread

All Albertans are encouraged to take personal steps to help prevent the spread.

To protect yourself and others:

  • stay home and away from others if sick or in isolation
  • wash hands often, using soap and water for at least twenty seconds
  • cover coughs and sneezes
  • avoid touching face with unwashed hands
  • avoid travel outside Canada
  • self-isolate for 14 days if returning from travel outside Canada or were exposed to COVID-19

Look out for yourself as well as your community. Please take this seriously and be responsible with your actions. The gym is a place for stress release, and to improve your mood! Stress is a factor in immunity.. less stress = higher immune. Immunity is very important in times like this.  As long as permitted and able, Uptown Gym will remain open, with the help of members, keeping it safe with respect and diligence in cleaning.

Any new members may purchase one month only at a time and know in advance there will be no refunds in the case the gym needs to close. Memberships will be put on freeze until reopening in this case.
